The Breakdown

Big Saturday of NBA coming up and there’s five games to pick through. Pistons hosting the Cavs, Celtics vs Nets, Bucks vs Knicks, Mavs vs Grizzlies and Thunder vs Nuggets.

Some absolute mismatches on this card and a couple of spicy ones too.

I’ve gone through all five and pulled out the four legs I feel the best about for a multi that should have us eating by Sunday morning.

Let’s cook!

The Multi

Here’s what we’re rolling with:

  1. Boston Celtics to Win vs Brooklyn Nets – $1.08
  2. New York Knicks to Win vs Milwaukee Bucks – $1.45
  3. Detroit Pistons to Win vs Cleveland Cavaliers – $1.52
  4. Oklahoma City Thunder to Win vs Denver Nuggets – $1.55

Estimated Multi Odds: ~$3.70

OK so leg by leg. Boston vs Brooklyn is our banker and I refuse to apologise for it. Celtics at home against a Nets team that’s 15-41 and just got torched by the Spurs 126-110. Boston’s win probability is literally 92% according to the models. This one’s basically free and it bumps our multi payout without adding real risk. You’re welcome!

Knicks in Milwaukee. The Bucks are a mess this year, 24-31, and New York is one of the best teams in the East at 37-21. Giannis has been out with a calf strain and even when he was playing Milwaukee couldn’t string wins together. The Knicks just lost a close one to the Cavs but they’ll bounce back here against a team that’s basically been tanking since the trade deadline. Brunson masterclass incoming.

Pistons at home against Cleveland is where I’m most confident after the Celtics leg. Detroit just beat OKC, they’re 43-14 now, and they’re 22-7 at home this season. The Cavs? Lost two of their last three, Donovan Mitchell is dealing with a groin issue, Harden’s got a thumb problem, and they’ve been shaky on the road as underdogs all year. Cade had an off night against the Spurs so you KNOW he’s coming back angry. Bounce back game written all over it.

Thunder hosting Denver is the spiciest leg but hear me out. Yes SGA might still be out. But OKC just won three of their last four WITHOUT him including beating the Cavs and the Raptors. They’re at home, Cason Wallace just dropped 27 against Toronto, and the Nuggets are on the second night of a back-to-back after playing in… checks notes… Boston on Wednesday night. Jokic on tired legs in OKC? Thunder’s defence is going to make this ugly for Denver. I like it.

Four legs. ~$3.70 return on a dollar. Nothing crazy, nothing outrageous, just four teams that should be winning their games doing exactly that.

Stick a lazy $20 on it and go enjoy your Saturday!
